Praying whats on your heart

Praying whats on your heart is not as easy as it is to say it. The heart is always being bombarded with your everyday needs and wants, and then there are the needs and wants of other people. We read in the book of Ephesians, chapter 6, about the armor of God...
that we should be dress in. Two pieces of this armor are the belt of truth girded about our waste, and the breast plate of righteousness. I stop at these two pieces because truth and righteousness are given to us from God. The world has it's own truth and righteousness. They appear to be good but they are tainted with sin and will perish. I have learned to ask God first to search my heart and to give me a right spirit so I can pray according to His will; which to me is His truth and His righteousness. Having a right spirit, to me, is a clean conscious at peace with God and man. The third part of the armor has to do with peace on our feet; that is the clean conscious our standing with God and man. I believe that when these are in your life faith grows and the Word of God and God's Spirit are manifested in your prayers from your heart. Take time alone with God; I recommend first thing in the morning, God will be there . God bless. -Devin Withrow
